I’m on day three of seven day liver detox that my amazing doctor and nutritionist at Green Circle Wellness in Chicago recommended. I do these detoxes about twice a year and while physically it’s tough, my gosh I feel so ALIVE afterwards. I mean we all need a little energetic boost – because I don’t know about you – but, I’ve certainly been consuming more wine and obviously more sweets. For me, detoxes not only help cleanse your body, but they can also help clear your mind too. I feel fresh, present and joyful, which is everything I need to be on my A-game both with work and at home (which is actually the same place because I work from home now…but I digress….)
So, going break my fast with this amazingly healthy, delicious and allergy-friendly – free from the top 8 too.
Overnight Chia Pudding Recipe
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup organic chia seeds
- 1 cup plant-based milk; we use coconut milk
- 1/2 cup smashed raspberries
- 1/2 cup fresh raspberries
- 1 tsp pure maple syrup
Instructions
- Smash the raspberries in a bowl using a spoon – you want to break them down well. In a bowl, mix the chia seeds with the coconut milk, then add in the smashed raspberries. Add in the maple syrup. Cover with saran wrap and store in the fridge overnight. The next morning, scoop out a serving and top it off with your fresh raspberries!
